The Brit Writers' Awards (BWA) is an exciting literary awards organisation set up to encourage and inspire unpublished and self-published writers of all ages. The awards were launched in 2009 by Imran Akram, the founder of the acclaimed Muslim Writers' Awards (MWA). For more information on BWA and their range of initiatives click on the link above.
At the end of 2010, BWA launched The Brit Writer's Publishing Programme. It is an excellent scheme, and one which will fast track the process of publication for the selected writers. There are thirteen of us on the programme, writing in a variety of genres including Literary Fiction, Thriller, Fantasy, Young Adult, and Illustrated Children’s Books. There's something for everyone.
